Obama is a good man. But what keeps worrying me is that he has a real chance of getting assasinated because he is the first viable black candidate or that his message of hope is becomming ever more louder and clearer. Lets just hope this will not end up having Obama just being like Rober Kennedy.

He has an incredible amount of security though. Robert (who I am assuming you meant) Kennedy refused security, for the most part. I am not too worried about Obama's safety. He is smart and understands the threats that face him. I just don't see a repeat of Bobby's assassination being very likely. Think of George W. Bush: he is only alive today because of his large security team. Obama will, unfortunately, continue to need strong security as long as he is a public figure, but it is at least for a different reason than Bush! ;)

Thanks for your comment, Justin!

I personlly want Obama, for the meer fact I don't want Hillary to win! It furiates me how many people love her. It not only furiates me, but it also confuses me. Can any Hillary supporters out there please comment on why they love her so. I am not trying to bash her. I just don't like her, and her theories. Just my opnion.

Alrighty, so I was wondering if anyone thinks that Americans are "racist?" I mean, I didn't think we were. But i was watching the "race for president" the other day on television, and they started going on about statistics of how many african-americans "voted" for Obama, and how many caucasians voted for Hillary and it showed that the statics were racist, and it forced me to ask. Are we racist? I mean, why would you vote for someone based on skin-color? It's the same for religion, maybe even worse, but do any of you see it this way? Or am I delusional?

Hmmm...I wonder if Nazi Propaganda gave Germans a similar warm and fuzzy feeling inside?

Touché, Alex, Touché.

Hmmm...probably not. I would imagine that it made them feel strong and proud, but I doubt that people were brought to tears from inspiration and uplifting hope. Remember that the definition of fascism is a "corporate take-over of the government." Sound familiar? I guess that would make Barack Obama an opposition leader instead...

Thanks for your sarcasm, Alex! Don't take him too serious, Megan!

ok? I just thought it was funny that I wasn't the only one that noticed the warm-fuzzy-feeling effect of it.

Adam S Gregg said...

haha...If that was your only thought, Megan, then so be it. But, Alex's comment portrayed a much broader thought, no matter what his tone or intent was, although I took it as sarcasm. Besides, I was just trying to portray the same tongue-in-cheek lightheartedness as him. But, if my reading comprehension fares me well, you seem to be offended for some reason. Oh well - I guess misunderstandings are just the norm.

And while we're at it: I am pretty sure that anyone with a beating heart and a working brain, who watched that video, noticed that "warm-fuzzy-feeling effect." For most people, it just goes without saying.

I was having a really hard time choosing between Barack and Hillary. Then I saw the girl from Pussycat Dolls in that video. How, considering that, can I not support Obama? We can do it, team.

AMEN KYLE!!!

mememe (remember to use your real name from now on): I don't think there are any Hillary supporters here. Anyone who is one is welcome to defend her. But no one has so far...so I take that as a sign. Answering your question on racism, I don't think it is hostile discrimination as much as it is a group rallying around the candidate they think represents them most. Just because blacks tend to vote for Barack Obama does not mean they are racist, it just means they have somewhat made a group decision that Barack Obama represents them more on the issues.

Thanks for your insightful comments!
