A final Sterling Scholar update

Last night was the awards ceremony for the 2008 Utah Sterling Scholars. In each of the 13 categories, a winner and two runners up were announced. Jared Andersen, one of the eight finalists from Viewmont and also this paper's News Editor, was named a runner up in the Science category. I thought it necessary to announce because Jared wouldn't by himself and it's a big deal. Congratulate Jared if you see him--he deserves it.

If you're still interested after two of my posts on the subject, you can check out all the winners and runners up here.

Yay, Jared! Notice the comma, Russel. This really is awesome and Jared is probably reading over my shoulder at the moment. I kind of hope he is because it is a big deal to make it to state :)

Go Jared!
Go Jared!
Go Jared!

(and so adam doesn't have to write this over again to sound smarter than me)
Felicitations, Jared!
Felicitations, Jared!
Felicitations, Jared!

What was that, Cassi? I have never dared to consider myself smarter than you. I think you are a very intelligent and kind person, whom I greatly admire and respect. I don't know what I did to inspire those feelings. Previously, on this blog, I have tried to inspire what I think to be clarity when I see none (only my personal opinion). But I haven't even done this with you (on your last post I was merely praising you, but through a stronger retelling). And I am not even close to considering myself an absolute master of knowledge. For example, I consider myself a fool compared to Jared. I just enjoy sharing my opinion (although maybe many don't, which I am trying to be more considerate of). And maybe I don't always express it the best way possible, but that is something altogether separate from my intent.
